SET accreditation for an EETS in Italy
About the project
Italy was one of the first member states to implement interoperability to improve traffic flow on its motorway network.
4icom helped Axxès obtain this accreditation. Building on this success, tolltickets and TotalEnergies Marketing Services (TEMS) have also called on 4icom.
Our mission is to provide technical and operational assistance in obtaining SET and SIT-MP accreditation for electronic toll services in Italy (DSRC-based toll domain for light vehicles and heavy goods vehicles over 3.5 tons).

Preparation phase

This first phase consists of :

Accreditation phase
2020-2023
- Review of SET tolling solution design in accordance with current requirements
- AISCAT requirements analysis
- OBU requirements and configuration
- Back-office requirements and interface specifications
- Accreditation process
- Pre-accreditation of on-board units
- Coordination of roadworthiness tests with all toll freeway concessionaires
- Documentation for toll freeway concessionaires
- Contract negotiation
- Preparation for suitability for use tests (VCCF) and pilot operation (VRS)
